Emma Stone's turn as the villainous Cruella is now available to watch for free online.
The prequel movie tells the story of how an ambitious young woman Estella Miller became the infamous fur coat-wearing, Dalmatian hunting Disney villain Cruella de Vil.
The movie co-stars a number of mostly British actors alongside Stone with the likes of Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, Emily Beecham and Mark Strong.
How Can I Watch 'Cruella' Online for Free?
Disney+ subscribers no longer have to fork out an extra $29.99 to watch the movie. As of Friday, it is now listed alongside the many films available on the streaming service at no extra cost.
Disney's "Cruella" offers a fresh take on one of the studio's most infamous animated villains. The live-action movie focuses on Cruella de Vil from the "101 Dalmatians" franchise and tells the story of how she became the character audiences have come to know on screen.
"Cruella" is now available to all Disney Plus members. Though the film debuted on Disney Plus with Premier Access, it no longer requires an extra fee. If you don't have Disney Plus, you can buy the movie through video-on-demand (VOD) streaming services like Prime Video and Vudu for $20.
The film is set in 1970s London and follows a young woman, Estella (Emma Stone), whose "flair for fashion" earns the attention of Baroness von Hellman, according to the film's official synopsis. But the relationship between the two spurs Estella to "embrace her wicked side" and become the "raucous, fashionable, and revenge-bent" Cruella de Vil.
How to watch 'Cruella' on Disney Plus
As of August 27, all Disney Plus members can watch "Cruella" at home without needing to pay an extra fee. The movie originally debuted as a Premier Access title on May 28 for $30, but it's now included with a subscription.
Disney Plus costs $8 a month or $80 a year. You can also bundle Disney Plus with ESPN+ and Hulu Basic for $14 a month, a savings of about $7 a month compared to purchasing the three streaming services on their own.
Cruella was released in movie theaters and on Disney+ at the same time on May 23, 2020. Upon its release online Cruella was only available via Premier Access and viewers had to pay extra money to watch the movie. Black Widow, Raya and the Last Dragon, Jungle Cruise and Mulan were released in the same way.
Cruella will also be available on DVD and Blu-ray from September 21, 2021, when it gets its home release.
