What is virtual currency mining and which mining would you suggest ?

Mining is the primary method for transaction processing, recording, and  security for most digital currencies, as well as the method in which new  coins are created. This is not true for every digital currency, but is  central to the vast majority.  We did an article which goes into more details - Bitcoin, and digital currency mining

Btw, just for clarification, I am assuming you are referring to digital currencies, and not actually virtual currencies.  A digital currency exists on it's own, and can be used to buy things in the real world.  A virtual currency is a currency that is completely contained in an online world, generally a multiplayer game or a specific website, and can rarely be used outside of that environment.

which mining would you suggest ?

The best way for beginners to go is through nicehash.com. It get’s your computer mining pretty frickin fast and pays you in bitcoin so you don’t have to sync 30 wallets.
Buy one of these as well.
Get a wallet and mine to it. I mine straight to poloniex and make bad decisions from there.
If you are a total beginner, just starting to mine is a huge pain the butt unless you are a programmer.
Also Eth OS is pretty cool too.
And be ready for render/ hard drive farms to be more profitable. Next machine I am building is a hard drive miner.
It is no longer possible to mine profitably without hardware specifically made for the task. Even with that hardware the margin is very thin, and you will probably not come out ahead unless you know what your doing, don’t have any issues, and have cheap or free electricity.
If you want to try that hardware can be purchased here: Buy ASIC Bitcoin Miners & Bitcoin Mining Equipment
Perhaps if you already own the right GPU (high end AMD) and cheap power, or get the secondary benefit of heating a room that you needed to heat anyway Ethereum might still be viable to do on your PC.
tldr: Probably not worth your trouble. If you want to invest in a coin, just buy some.
